    CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION WHEN YOU SCRAP YOUR CAR

    The End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003 require that if you want to scrap a car you must do so at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF).

    An ATF will issue you a Certificate of Destruction (CoD). This document terminates your responsibility as the registered keeper of the vehicle. Without this certificate you will still be responsible for the vehicle and for payment of a road fund licence.

    If your scrap car is a passenger carrying or light goods vehicle up to 3,500kg you will be issued a Certificate of Destruction immediately. You should retain your scrap car’s Certificate of Destruction as a duplicate cannot be issued.

    Dear Valued Customer,

    We have made some changes to the way we are currently operating to protect our staff and reduce the spread of the virus.

    -The gates are closed on arrival. We ask you to call the office and wait for access.

    -Anyone who enters the site is to stay in vehicles, until a member of staff speaks to you and you have been given the go ahead to offload.

    -Any Ferrous material weighed in will be kept on a ticket and payments will need to be arranged over the phone.

    - Non-ferrous is by appointment only, so please call the office to arrange a slot this will include enough time for card payments to be made.

    -We can take any ‘Too little to weigh’ scrap in the red bin. Radiators, Boilers etc if you would just like to drop them off without payment.

    -Our lorry services for local businesses will continue e.g. Factories and waste transfer stations

    -Please stay at a 2-metre distance at all times and follow on site signage.
